Design Director Sparks Innovation 2020 - 2022
Design Lead on newly formed Sparks Innovation team for Preschool and Fashion Brands. Identified and developed opportunities for new IP or added innovation to existing brands. Created groundbreaking products for brands which included Princess, Frozen, Marvel, My Little Pony, new Preschool IP and Hasbro Games.
Design Director for Entertainment brands 2016 – 2022
Director for licensed Girl’s product including Star Wars, Marvel, Mulan, Frozen 2, and Raya and the Last Dragon. Created Frozen 2 product line, delivering increased POS of $283MM for Fall 19/20 launch.
Vice President Design 2013 - 2016
Led the Disney Dolls lines: Princess, Fairies, Frozen, Star Darlings, Maleficent, Disney Classics, Sofia the First, Moana and Tsum Tsum. Worked very closely with Marketing, Sales and Disney to develop product lines that delivered on the Disney promise of quality, innovation and story while meeting marketplace demands both domestically and internationally.
Design Manager, Girls Toys 2008 - 2013
Doubled the Disney Princess business from $153M in 2009 to $310M in 2012, which included creating two new sub-brands, Princess and Me and My First Disney Princess lines. Guided the development of all Girl’s Disney toy brands, including but not limited to Tangled, Frozen, Disney Fairies, Disney Channel Shake it Up, Hannah Montana, High School Musical, Sofia the First. Worked with entertainment, franchise and marketing to identify and develop product for new opportunities to grow our brands.
Senior Design Manager, New Dolls & Toys 2004 - 2008
Responsible for all aspects of new product creation on large dolls and fashion dolls, plush, preschool, youth electronics, activities, features dolls and licensed products. Designed and patented the first ever Swimming mermaid doll which brought in significant incremental revenue for many years on Storytime and Bratz doll lines. Led Design team and worked with Advertising group to guide commercials & print ads. Delivered product presentations to Sales team & buyers. Brands included Little Tikes, Bratz, Rescue Pets, Storytime, Zapf, Shrek.
Senior Project Designer Girl’s Division & Platypus Team. 1998 - 2004
Toy design and development, Style guide development. Developed Barbie line, including American Idol and Hard Rock café licenses. Most recognized for creating technologically innovative and trend forward product.
Fashion Designer for Sportswear Collection lines 1994 - 1997
Extreme passion for sustainability. Extensive research in alternative materials that are more sustainable than those typically used in manufacturing of toys and fashion. Insight into how to build a sustainable fashion doll. Built an existing fashion line using sustainable materials and printing techniques.
